Bell Built Grant - Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists

Reed Smidt, Minnesota Off-Road Cyclists (MORC) President, joins the show to discuss their recent nomination for the $100,000 Bell Built Grant. MORC has been very successful in several projects throughout Minnesota. They have also brought the mountain biking community together, especially in the Twin Cities Metro area.

Bell Helmets is awarding $100,000 to build three new trails. Twelve trail projects in three categories (Pump Track, Flow Trail, and Downhill) are the final nominees. Voters have until April 12th to cast their votes for their favorite in each category.

Listen in to Reed share the details on the Elm Creek Bike Park Project and why you should vote for it!

All these project finalists made the cut for a reason. Please consider voting for the expert jump line Bear River Bike Park located in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Last fall we lost our popular jump line as well as our pump track to development. We have worked with the city and other partners to get a location that will last. The approved Bear River Bike Park has completed the beginner and intermediate pump track lines last summer, but need help with building expert features that are safe to progress the sport. We are lucky to have an organization like the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club with their 100 years of producing winter Olympics athletes behind this project with their rapidly expanding cycling program. Maybe their next hundred years will produce some cycling Olympians along with many more winter Olympians.

This was the highly used Powerline Jump lines we lost last fall:

We appreciate you considering our project.
