JRA New Segment

<< Back to Just Riding Along Home

November 22, 2013

Starting on the Monday, November 25th (7:30pm Central) episode of Just Riding Along, the JRA crew will be doing a new regular segment.

What is the segment name?

There is no name yet. That will either be determined by you or by JRA. You'll just need to listen. If you have an idea for a name of the segment, feel free share it on the Mountain Bike Radio Facebook page, on Twitter, or comment below.

What is this all about?

Listeners are always asking about what bike they should get, what upgrade to make, how to lose weight without buying all new stuff, and this segment will help you make decisions on what to swap out first, what to look for, and where to save money, while you take that 29 pound full-suspension down a pound or two without breaking the bank.

How will it work?

Listeners will submit their full bike details, the JRA gang will review it, and then they'll discuss what is the best or cheapest way to lose weight off of your bike on the air. You can then spend your time wisely and get your best bang for the buck.

Then you can buy some new stuff at 18% off to get you going!

One bike will be picked to be discussed each week.

How do I get my bike on the weight loss plan?

So....you've been thinking about upgrading your bike, you don't know where to start, and want some JRA help.

Submit the following to ben@mountainbikeradio.com by the Thursday before an upcoming episode and they'll pimp your ride (well, kind of...):

- Frame (Brand, Model, Year)

- Wheels (Hubs, Spokes, Rims)

- Tires (Hopefully you're not riding tubes...)

- Fork (Brand, Model, Year)

- Full component list (Brakes, Shifters, Derailleurs, Crankset, Chain, Cassette, Pedals, Bar, Stem, Seatpost, Saddle, etc.)

You don't need to know every last detail, but the more you know, the better the answer you'll receive.

Listen to the live show HERE on Monday, November 25 at 7:30pm central.
