Ric Damm is the coach of the Ripon College Cycling Team. Ripon is a small college in east central Wisconsin. He joins us to discuss how the Ripon cycling team started, details about the team, coaching college cycling, and the future of mountain biking at the collegiate and high school levels.

Under the leadership of Coach Damm, the Red Hawks have established themselves as one of the premiere collegiate mountain bike programs in the Midwest by winning the MWCCC Division 2 Team Championship, as well as the men's and women's D2 individual championships, in three consecutive seasons.

 

The Red Hawks recently made their third appearance at Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals in Angel Fire, New Mexico. Ripon put two riders on the podium and finished 8th among D2 programs.
