Judy Freeman

Judy Freeman is a pro mountain biker out of Boulder, Colorado. Check out her column on Singletrack.com called “Life as a Bike Jockey.” Also, be sure to follow her adventures on her Facebook page.

From the Race Club website: "I grew up swimming and playing lacrosse. I didn’t really get into mountain biking until after college, when I moved to Vail, Colorado and a friend urged me to jump in a beginner race. I crashed right off the start and got run over by the field. But I managed to get back up and win my category. It must have been the free t-shirt I got because I’ve been hooked ever since. For as serious as professional racing can get, I love the fun, adventure and laughs inherent in the sport. Not to mention that sometimes it’s just cool wear stretchy pants. I’ve got some big plans for 2012 and will be blogging about it all (the good, the bad, and the did that really just happen?) So, hope you stop in from time to time to catch up!"

Judy has experienced an up and down season. After a 2nd place finish early in season at the Mellow Johnny Classic, she experienced many crashes and a battered confidence. Judy pulled it together to take the win at the last ProXCT at the Subaru Cup in Wisconsin, securing her 3rd place overall series standing.

Chloe Woodruff

From the Crankbrothers website:

"Chloe is the newest addition to the crankbrothers race club, and we’re excited to have her onboard. Her debut with the race club is the 2011 cyclocross season, and she’s already showing that she can pedal…fast.

A mountain biker at heart, Chloe has achieved some great results at her young age of 24. She’s been around bikes all her life, and she’s always been competitive. She has a scar to prove it, too. Her first crash came from an attempted “no hands, no feet” stunt during a contest with her sister when they were both kids. Judging by the scar, her sister apparently won that round, but Chloe’s never lost her competitive edge. She’s using it to her advantage now as she races against the fastest women in the world. Still, we’d like to see her attempt a few more “no hands, no feet” stunts. We’ll just make sure she has elbow pads on first."

Chloe has enjoyed a successful mountain bike season in 2012. After some World Cup races earlier this season, she has turned it on during her stay in the Midwest. Some of her recent results are:

   1st - Ore to Shore

5th XC, 2nd Short Track - Subaru Cup

   1st - Seeley Pre Fat

1st - Minnesota Mountain Bike Series Ladies Loppet Stage Race

She is looking forward to a strong 2012-13 cyclocross season too. As of the September 12th Cyclingdirt preseason rankings, she sits in 4th.
