"Located just outside of Olympia, Washington, Capitol Forest is a prime location for an Enduro event. Our beneficiary will be Friends of Capitol Forest (FOCF). FOCF is a grassroots non-profit organization dedicated to recreation in and stewardship of Capitol Forest.

The Course
You can expect 4 to 5 stages with over 4400’ of descent. There will be a few course changes from last year with possibly a new stage. The overall course is about 24 miles long with lots of pedaling and climbing between stages. Plan for 4 to 6 hours of saddle time.

The Schedule
Friday, September 13th, 2013

Course will be marked. Trails and roads will be open to all traffic and user groups. Use proper trail etiquette.

5:00 pm-7:00 pm: Starting times posted (for pre-registered racers) and Packet Pick Up at Fall Creek Day Use Area

Saturday, September 14th, 2013

6:30 am to 8:00 am: Packet Pick Up at Fall Creek Day Use Area

8:00 am to 8:20 am: Riders Meeting at Fall Creek Day Use Area

8:20 am: Riders make their way to Transition 1.

10:00 am: First Rider Starts

2:00 pm to 2:30 pm: First Riders Finishing (estimation)

*Awards will be presented as soon as last rider crosses the finish line.

Directions
The Capitol Forest Enduro will be based out of Fall Creek Day Use Area. Not only is this the end of the final stage, this is where we will have packet pick up, pre-race meeting and the festivities after the race.

Directions to Fall Creek Day Use Area (Google Map Directions)
Take I-5 to Hwy 101 North, take the Black Lake Blvd exit off of hwy 101, turn left onto Black Lake Blvd. Turn left onto Delphi Rd. Turn right onto Waddell Creek Rd. Stay on Waddell Creek Rd (which turns into Sherman Valley Rd) until you reach gravel (C-Line Rd). Continue up on C-Line until you reach C-6000 road on your left. Follow C-6000 into the start area of Fall Creek parking area. There will be signs for the race event to follow once you are in the forest.

Directions to Stage 1 start from Fall Creek area
Take C-6000 back to C-Line turn right, take C-Line to C-7000 turn left, take C-7000 to the top parking area. Signs will lead the way. Transition 1 will start here and climb to the top of Capitol Peak for stage 1.

Free Overnight Camping
The Fall Creek Campground is adjacent to the day use area. Designated campsites are free and on a first come first served basis. There are limited amounts of sites, please buddy up with fellow racers. Bring your own water. Pit toilets nearby. Old growth hemlocks all around. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed at all times.

CATEGORIES

Pro - Currently holds or previously held a professional license.
Expert/Open - No age requirement. Highly skilled and experienced.
Masters - age is 40+
Veteran - age is 50+ and is an experienced mt. biker but not competitive in masters category.
Sport - Experienced mountain biker with improved skills.
Beginner - Less than one year mountain biking experience.

***REFUND POLICY***

If for some reason a participant has to withdraw from the race:

50% of the registration fee will be reimursed up to one month from race date
No refunds will be given within one month from race date

If the event has to be cancelled due to natural disasters (storm, flooding, etc) a portion of your entry fee will be refunded"
